Bironas preserves Titans' unbeaten year by booting Packers in OT

Bironas kicked a 41-yard field goal with 9:36 to go in overtime that kept the Titans perfect with a 19-16 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The kicker had a chance to win in regulation, but banged a 47-yarder off the upright, prompting him to yank his facemask down in anger at himself.

The Titans (7-0) have won an NFL-best 10 straight regular-season games, matching the second-best streak in franchise history. More importantly, Tennessee grabbed control of the AFC South away from the team that has dominated this division in winning the past five titles.

With Chris Johnson running for 168 yards and LenDale White 149, the Titans (6-0) remained the NFL's lone unbeaten team by rushing for a club-record 332 yards in a 34-10 blowout Sunday. The record that fell was set with 296 yards the Houston Oilers amassed on the ground against Kansas City on Nov. 27, 1977, almost two decades before the team moved to Tennessee.
